1. If you are a student you will log on with your Index Number as (username) and your password (application number which you can locate on your admission letter). If you need help with your numbers, you may contact the following people or offices:

To access your UEW email account, please go to the URL http://studmail.uew.edu.gh

You will need to log in with your full email address (example 5110537467@stud.uew.edu.gh) and your password.

Please note that this is still being customized so you can send me an email if you have any comments or suggestions. The email should go to

hasior at uew.edu.gh

The browsers that support HTML Editing are:

• Internet Explorer (v5.5 or later)
• Firefox (all versions)
• Mozilla (v1.7 or later)
• SeaMonkey (all versions)
• Netscape (v7 or later)

The following browsers have problems with HTML editor

• Opera
• Safari
• Camino

It has been noted that some students provide FAKE email addresses when they are filling in the profile form. This is a practice that is not advised and if you are one such person please do well to go back to your profile information and change the email address you provided. Here are the reasons why you need to do so:

1. Communications from your lecturer will be emailed to the email address you provide as part of your profile information. If you provide a fake email address, then it means you will not receive any communication your lecturer sends to his/her class.

2. If you need to reset your password or do any such confidential activity, emails will be sent to your provided email address.

A mail server has been installed for students of UEW. If my index number is 5110537467, then my email address is 5110537467@stud.uew.edu.gh so you can use this as your email address in your profile information.
